Green monster by Aaron Sperschneider

An impressive thunderstorm that we observed in the border area between Oklahoma and Texas.

It was a special day because after our chase had already taken us to two supercells, we were presented with this sight of a rapidly rotating updraft.

The green glow produced when sunlight filters through intense precipitation gave the cell a noxious appearance that was only exacerbated by the low cloud base. The lightning, some of which struck very close in front of us, did the rest of the stormy mood.
