During a stormy evening near the Massif Central, with numerous supercells and large hail, an impressive wall cloud approached my position. This storm generated large hail up to 7 centimetres.

During this August night, I had the opportunity to photograph a fantastic series of branched lightnings, among the best of the last 3 years

Downbursts are strong downdrafts that are often associated with intense heavy rain and hail. As soon as the downdraft reaches the ground, it spreads sideways, and the wind can reach hurricane force.
